March 27, 2006 - Arturo
Merino Benítez International Airport, Santiago, Chile
FIDAE
2006
From
March 27 to April 2, 2006, against the beautiful scenario of the Andes mountain
range in Santiago de Chile, the 14th Air and Space International Fair (FIDAE)
was staged at the International Airport “Arturo Merino Benítez”.
At Radiocom, Inc. we are very
proud to have participated as an exhibitor company, as did many other companies
related with air and space technologies.
In the magnificent environment
provided by FIDAE 2006, people from many places around the world had the
opportunity to be in contact with the latest technological breakthroughs related
to aircraft, navigation and communication equipment, and other aeronautical
products.
At
our stand in FIDAE 2006 we offered audiovisual shows giving detailed
explanations about the main features of the products AMHS, Intelligent TAU®
Terminals, ComGate®
(the Gateway), DBAIS® (AIS Databank) and ATN networks safety.
Javiera and Sonia also handed out printed material and some souvenirs to our
guests.

Numerous
people showed great interest, especially on the products directly related to the AMHS system that operates in Argentina since December of 2005.
We were very pleased to receive
visitors such as the authorities of Argentina's Air Force, DGAC (Dirección
General de Aviación Civil) and Chilean Armed Forces, member the Uruguayan Air
Force, and also representatives from Colombia and Paraguay.
Customer
contact is an important working tool that allows the parties to groom a
relationship of trust and confidence. Thanks to this approach, customers,
potential users and our company all benefited from these days in Santiago de
Chile.
In fact, to be part of an International Fair such as FIDAE permitted us to
exchange information and to discuss about different approach to operative issues
and possible deployment solutions.
As
part of the exhibit, we prepared a full AMHS system simulation so that the
visitors had the chance to experience working with TAU® Terminals, see the MTA
(Message Transfer Agent), the Message Store and the Gateway in action, and were
able to appreciate the operational compatibility between the old AFTN networks
and the new AMHS.
After
7 days of a pleasant stay in Santiago, we are very grateful to the people of
Santiago de Chile and to the organizers for the hospitality we experienced from
every one at FIDAE 2006.
